MIND-MACHINE;

On the first half of Sunday night's program, George Knapp was joined by futurist Ray Kurzweil for a discussion on the merging of man and machine as well as his research into reverse engineering the human brain to understand precisely how it works.  According to Kurzweil's estimate, the brain consists of 300 million "pattern recognizers" which assign these trends into hierarchies.  This hierarchy ranges from simple patterns like shapes and sounds, at the low end, to more abstract concepts like irony, humor, and beauty, at the top. Driving the creation of this hierarchy, he said, are our own thoughts as we "create one conceptual level at a time."  By understanding how this process works, Kurzweil said, he now plans on designing computers which will utilize the same methodology.

Kurzweil observed that the envelopment of humanity by technology is not a fearful new development and contended that it is merely part of larger evolution of the species to "transcend the limitations of biology."  To that end, he dismissed concerns about the eventual augmentation of the body with technological devices and suggested that "very, very few people will opt out" when the opportunity becomes available.  Additionally, he surmised that, much like there are a myriad of apps available for cell phones, there will be "millions of choices" for people to fuse technology with their body.  Similarly, Kurzweil pointed to the ubiquity of cell phones as a sign that technologically augmenting the body will not be solely the domain of the wealthy.  Ultimately, he stressed that machines are the creations of humans and, thus, are already "part of who we are."

Cryptids:

In the second half, Lon Strickler, paranormal researcher and creator of the website Phantoms and Monsters, talked about his Bigfoot encounter, the nature of ghosts, remote viewing, and the current state of paranormal research.  As a collector of numerous reports concerning a wide range of paranormal phenomena, Strickler said that his goal is to "give people the benefit of the doubt" rather than pass judgement as to the veracity of their experiences.  "Some of the stories are pretty outrageous," he conceded, "but my thought is, if the person did not think it was real, I don't think they would have contacted me."  That said, Strickler explained that he usually tries to contact these witnesses before posting their story and, upon speaking to them, "most of these people are very sincere" about their paranormal experiences.

Regarding his 1981 Bigfoot encounter, Strickler recounted being on a fly fishing trip in Maryland when he noticed a stray dog amongst the weeds and then heard it barking and growling.  "All of a sudden, this dark hairy creature was bobbing up and down in the thicket," Strickler said.  The dog briefly grew silent and then let out a yelp, which appeared to startle the creature as it quickly stood up.  "It was about seven or eight feet tall and had dark matted hair on its body," he recalled.  Unable to investigate further, since he'd been wearing waders into the water and couldn't follow the creature, Strickler returned to town and reported the sighting to the police. Oddly, he was told to return to the area, where he was amazed to see numerous state police cruisers and was subsequently told to get out of there.

CAYCE & ATL

Cayce & Atlantis:

In the first half of Thursday's show, author and researcher Greg Little talked about the passing of Edgar Evans Cayce (the son of 'sleeping prophet' Edgar Cayce), as well as Cayce's predictions and writings about Atlantis. Edgar Evans recently passed away at the age of 95. Growing up, he didn't take much interest in his father's psychic abilities, though he did become an engineer based on one of his father's readings. In later years, Edgar Evans became active in the Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.), the organization founded by his father. While Cayce's health readings have been called stunningly accurate, Edgar Evans wrote a book called The Outer Limits of Edgar Cayce's Power, which included his father's predictions that had not yet come to pass.

According to Edgar Cayce, the civilization of Atlantis dated back some 200,000 years, and was an island empire spread across the Atlantic ocean, from Spain to the Bahamas. He talked about the Atlanteans using specialized crystals that took light from the sun, and focused it into a beam to generate electricity, and other types of power. Cayce said that Atlantis underwent three periods of destruction, with the most recent possibly around 10,000 BC, when comet fragments lead to a tsunami that caused the main part of the island to sink into the ocean, Little recounted. He also shared that Cayce was in correspondence with both Tesla and Edison. Tesla told Cayce that he had a similar trance ability to his, where inventions would be shown to him in a vision, while Edison discussed his interest in building a machine to communicate with the dead.

Billy Meier:

In the latter half, Michael Horn, spokesperson for famed UFO contactee Billy Meier, gave updates in the case, and talked about the confirmation of messages imparted to Meier via the Plejarans (the ET species he's been in communication with). Meier, now 76 years old, had his first contacts from the ages of 5 -11, and was tutored by a male ET, who took him many places, including off-planet, Horn detailed. Meier made an intriguing pronouncement in 1982 that Earth had just narrowly avoided a planetary invasion. A planetary system with some 16 billion people was seeking new planets to occupy and had selected Earth. "The Plejarans along with two other groups they are associated with negotiated these people into another location," said Horn, who added that we are not faced with current threats from ETs, though there are three different groups here to ob serve us, and sometimes their spacecraft are seen in the skies.

According to Horn, Meier was one of the first to warn about global warming and climate change in his writings from as far back as 1951. In 1982, he described touchscreen three-dimensional technology, which he saw, "when he was watching a planetary alignment from a spaceship," Horn continued. He also revealed that the Plejarans told Meier that the Fukushima disaster is much worse than people were told, and that contamination from it is quite problematic. In 1981, Meier gave information on a devastating "red meteor" that would hit between the Black Sea and the North Sea either in 2029 or 2036. Horn noted that those dates correspond with when the asteroid Apophis is due to fly by. Additionally, Meier warned of a catastrophic earthquake that would hit San Francisco at time when cars will appear rounded with sweeping windshields.

A MISSION TO MARS

Yes, you read that correctly. An entrepreneur wants to charter a SpaceX rocket to launch two interplanetary buddies on the ultimate joyride: A mission to Mars. But the timeline is tight — as in 5 years time “tight.”
This random piece of spaceflight news is brought to you by Dennis Tito, multimillionaire and founder of the non-profit Inspiration Mars Foundation. Tito also knows a thing or two about space — he was the world’s first space tourist who, in 2001, spent a little over a week living on board the International Space Station. He reportedly spent $20 million for his orbital trek.
And now, it seems, he has far loftier goals.
DNEWS VIDEO: Do You Want To Colonize Mars?
Tito will host a press conference on Feb. 27 detailing his “Mars-shot” plan. But what is known is that he intends to hire Elon Musk’s Space Exploration Technologies Corporation, or SpaceX, to blast a spaceship beyond low-Earth orbit. SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket — that is currently in development — should fit the bill quite nicely. According to a NewSpace Journal report based on an Inspiration Mars paper detailing the proposed mission, a modified SpaceX Dragon capsule will be the spaceship of choice.
Because of the short timeframe to develop the necessary technology to make this mission possible, the mission will be strictly no-frills. It will use existing tech for life support and will not make any attempt to land on the Martian surface or orbit the planet. It will simply be a fly-there, fly-by, fly-back mission. Attempting such a feat would be one for the history books, surely catapulting the hopes and dreams on Earth to the Red Planet where far grander missions will be attempted later on.
By Tito’s team’s reckoning, the mission will launch in the January 2018 launch window (when Earth and Mars are in a favorable positions) and last 501 days.
“This ‘Mission for America’ will generate new knowledge, experience and momentum for the next great era of space exploration,” officials from the Inspiration Mars Foundation wrote in a media advisory on Feb. 20 (via NASAWatch.com). “It is intended to encourage all Americans to believe again, in doing the hard things that make our nation great, while inspiring youth through Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education and motivation.”

This all sounds very noble and exciting, but until next week’s press conference, it’s hard to comment on the details.

Mars Frustrations

Discussing human Mars missions can be frustrating. NASA has been aiming its human spaceflight dreams at the Red Planet for decades and yet we keep sending robots in place of astronauts. Robotic exploration of Mars is awesome, but you can’t totally replace the human experience with hi-tech emissaries. Tito seems to “get” that — he wants to inspire America to undertake the farthest manned expedition since the Apollo era.
Unfortunately, simply cramming a skeleton crew into a capsule using existing technology and catapulting it at Mars seems to fly in the face of studies into the psychological and physiological impacts on humans in space and extreme isolation. Although the impressive SpaceX Dragon capsule is “roomy” by current spaceship standards, will the volume be large enough to support two people plus their water and food needs for 501 days? “Crew comfort is limited to survival needs only. For example, sponge baths are acceptable, with no need for showers,” says the paper. Only hard-core survivalists need apply?
As the joint Russian-European Mars500 experiment that recently ended proved, we are far from fully understanding how individuals react to long-term isolation. Also, the impact of high-energy particles on the brain during long-duration spaceflight are only just beginning to come to light. And then there’s the degradation of drugs in long-duration spaceflight. And muscle atrophy. And bone wastage (you get the point).

DIGITAL IDENTITIES;

Bioethicist and biotechnology expert Lori Andrews has advised companies, politicians, and consumers about the impact of various technologies. On Thursday's show, she discussed her latest work on how our digital identities are starting to overshadow our physical identities, and the damaging effects of uncontrolled changes in privacy. There has been an increasing blurring between the public and private, with employers using social networks such as Facebook to glean information about employees and job candidates, often without their express approval, she observed. Law enforcement also peruses social networks, and can sometimes go overboard, charging people with gang membership, based on the pictures they post, she commented.

In what many view as invasive, a lot of websites use tracking and data mining to evaluate people for marketing purposes. This info can be used to select the type of ads you might see online, or even the type of offers you might get for things like credit interest rates, she detailed. There are also unscrupulous sites that post images and false or inflammatory information about people, and then charge a fee to have it removed, she continued. The judicial system too has been adversely affected by online issues, with jurors sometimes looking things up on the Internet related to their cases, and making decisions based on what they find.

Andrews is calling for a Social Network Constitution. "The best way to do this," she suggested, "is to extend rights we've had in other areas, to the web," such as the right to privacy, freedom of expression, and the right to fair trial. "Your Facebook page should be as private as your home and people should not have access to it unless there is some individualized suspicion, unless there's a warrant," she asserted. There has been some legislative interest around web privacy, but by and large the public has not been sufficiently riled up about the issue to press lawmakers into taking action, she noted.

Drones Update:

First hour guest, specialist in cyber warfare and technology, Charles R. Smith, reported on issues related to drones. The unmanned aerial vehicles can be thought of as spies in the sky, and some states such as Florida, are trying to ban their usage due to privacy concerns. In addition to surveillance, drones have been developed for military uses and are becoming increasingly sophisticated and miniaturized, he said. Some units like the X-47 can function as autonomous carrier-based strike aircraft, programmed to perform missions without any human pilots aboard, he added.

ABDUCTIONS

On Monday's show, experts in mysteries of the unknown, including UFOs and synchronicities, Trish and Rob MacGregor, discussed their work researching alien encounters and abductions, which ties into the Bermuda Triangle mystery, as well as planetary empaths who suffer physical symptoms related to pending Earth changes. Rob detailed the 2011 encounter of Charles and Helene Fontaine, a Canadian couple who saw a craft in their backyard with a vertical rotating band of light, with luminous blue o-rings that were moving inside the band. Helene reported missing time, and being "floated" back into her bed. Trish believes Helene may have been abducted previously as she reported seeing similar lights one week earlier.

The MacGregors recounted pilot Bruce Gernon's 1970 flight in the Bermuda Triangle in which his plane seemed to be taken inside a donut-shaped cloud, and he bafflingly arrived in Miami in just 45 minutes, when the flight, he had made dozens of times before, had always taken at least 75 minutes. In 2009, Rob and Trish traveled with the History Channel's UFO Hunters and Gernon to reenact the flight in the same-type Cessna. The MacGregors also shared details of lifelong abductee Connie Cannon's experience, when she was driving with her son, and somehow ended up on Warner Robins Military Base outside Macon, GA briefly witnessing ET Grays, military personnel, and various craft in the air, before ending up back in their car, with a case of missing time.

They spoke about another lifelong abductee Diane Fine, who was abducted after going to a rock concert. Surprisingly, she said she saw the singer of the band among the Grays, but when she became angry, the singer transmuted into one of the ETs, and they telepathically communicated that they had only created his image in order to please her. On another occasion, Fine said she was taken aboard a ship that had a kind of transparent floor that illuminated houses below that she could see through into people's bedrooms. Both Fine and Cannon reported being taken to hybrid nurseries, where the children were abnormally aged, and Cannon said that some of the hybrids had a noxious smell, noted Trish. Additionally, she continued, Cannon and Fine, perhaps because of their ET encounters, have developed sensitivities to upcoming Earth changes, in which they suffer physical symptoms when a severe earthquake or volcano is pending.

CHINESE ASTROLOGY;

In the first half of Friday's program, George Noory welcomed author and astrologer Donna Stellhorn, who offered Chinese horoscope predictions for 2013 – the Year of the Snake. In addition to the 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac, each year is also represented by one of four elements. This year the element is water, which when combined with the snake's fiery energy yields conflict, Stellhorn explained. In the past snake years have had a lot of disasters, she revealed, citing the World Trade Center attack in 2001, the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, the U.S. entering World War II in 1941, and the stock market crash of 1929. According to Stellhorn, the principle of Chinese Astrology is to identify what one can expect in a given year and then alter the environment using the principles of Feng Shui to increase luck. Simply by moving objects around, the subconscious reacts and we can see things differently and avoid danger, she said.

Stellhorn foresees a challenging time ahead for boars, cautioning against speculation this year and urging boars to protect their homes with an 8-sided mirror placed by the front door. Rats can attract opportunities by getting a new 'welcome' mat and oxen should hang an ocean picture to bring in better relationships and business contacts, she advised. Tigers can find dependable relationships by putting something that represents love in the bedroom and rabbits can bring in opportunity be hanging wind chimes outside, Stellhorn continued. The dragon's year is ending, so Stellhorn prescribed creating a restful and healing environment with plants. This is the year for snakes to try new things and they should hang an eclipse symbol for luck, she suggested. Stellhorn explained that horses will need to get rid of clutter and use fountains to create flow, and rams will want to attract healthy love relationships by adding the color red to the bedroom. She recommended monkeys stay groun ded in this cautious snake year by wearing a gemstone called Citrine, dogs protect themselves with foo dog statues outside the home, while roosters should get out and travel in what will be a very lucky year for them.

CIVILIZTION FROM ETs

Appearing during the middle two hours of Tuesday's show, author and journalist Jim Marrs discussed archeological discoveries that not only support the notion that human civilization originated from ETs, but that advanced civilizations have made Earth their home long before the recorded dates in our history books. He also addressed how mainstream science and institutions have worked to hide our possible true heritage. He connected "ancient aliens"-- the idea that ETs were on our planet thousands of years ago tinkering with mankind's genetics, with the wealthy elite-- a group of about 13 families that try to run the world. Marrs suggested that the elite know of the ancient astronaut connection, and believe they are possibly connected/descended from them.

The government controls secret knowledge of the past such as the evidence for ancient aliens, as well as giants, he said, and there is a whole hidden history of advanced civilizations, as well, exemplified by sites like the mysterious Gobekli Tepe, which is 7,000 years older than Stonehenge. Marrs touched on various UFO incidents throughout history, including the UFO crash reported in Aurora, Texas in 1897. According to his research, a type of aluminum was found buried at the crash site that was not of the same make-up as modern aluminum. He also presented his theory that UFOs are flying in energy fields that nullify gravity and time, which explains why vehicles suddenly stop, and people experience missing time during a sighting.

Astrology & Economy:

First hour guest, astrologer and author Mitchell Lewis talked about how astrological signs are pointing to major financial chaos ahead. He foresees April 2014-- a "grand cross" when Uranus and Pluto square, and Jupiter and Mars square, as a time of great stress economically, and otherwise. We are going to see market corrections before then, as there is no reason for a bull market now, he continued. "I think it's going to take at least until 2017 for the aspects we're going to go under to dissipate, then giving us the freedom to start another bull market," he said.

A Visit from Lionel:

In the last hour, author Lionel Fanthorpe discussed UFOs, as well as the Book of Revelation. One possibility is that UFOs are time ships rather than spaceships, he theorized, adding that "they provide evidence when something appears that one of our remote descendants at some time in the future has overcome the problems of time." He also recounted some of his favorite tales, including the mysteries of the Oak Island Money Pit, and the Barbados coffins.

REMOTE VIEWING

In the first half of Wednesday's show, writer and physicist Russell Targ discussed the early Remote Viewing program, including his work with the 'father of Remote Viewing,' the late Ingo Swann. "Ingo taught us about the whole idea of remote viewing," he said, recalling early experiments in which Ingo was able to raise the temperature of different thermos bottles on a random schedule. In the summer of 1972, Swann came to work with Hal Puthoff at Stanford, and showed that he could psychically slow down sine wave frequencies of balls spinning in a vacuum. When Targ began to work with them, NASA asked Swan to view Jupiter (around one million miles away). "He sees a belt of shiny crystals as he zooms in, surrounding the planet, and no one had ever seen that before because they're too faint to see from Earth," he recounted, adding that we now know that when people do remote viewing, they see the target in real time at the distant location, which violates the notion of relativity.

One of the most valuable uses for remote viewing, Targ suggested, is as a tool for self-discovery. "As you get familiar with remote viewing, you realize your awareness fills all of space-time...so it's clear that you couldn't possibly be just made of meat and potatoes," he commented. He also talked about different aspects of psychic gifts and ESP (his free ESP Trainer app is available on iTunes). Interestingly, he noted that the late renowned psychic Peter Hurkos only became psychic after he fell off a ladder and banged his head. As a tribute to the recently deceased Ingo Swann, we have made available audio from a Coast appearance he made in 2000.

Changelings:

In the latter half, self- claimed alien/human hybrid, Devaron, discussed the phenomenon of "changelings," children who are surreptitiously or unintentionally substituted for another by ETs. According to Devaron, this program has been happening since the dawn of mankind, possibly instigated by an ET race such as the Annunaki. The purpose of such exchanges is to evolve the overall consciousness of the human species, as well as to evolve the genetic signature of humans, he said. Devaron estimated that over time, there've possibly been millions of 'changeling' exchanges that have occurred.

Changelings have special abilities, such as intuition, and typically stand out from the crowd, Devaron continued, citing Moses (found floating in the river as a baby) as an example of a changeling. Devaron considers himself a changeling, and according to the communications he's received from the ETs, they have some 250 home worlds in our galaxy and Andromeda. He said he visited one such world-- a planet in the Vega system about 78% the size of Earth with lush forests, though the ETs live in connected underground cities that are encased in protective bubbles.

RELIONSHIPS & SUPPLEMENTS

Expert in the fields of communication and relationships, Dr. John Gray, discussed how men and women react differently to stress, the changing nature of relationships, the crisis facing young boys, and various supplements that can be taken for different conditions. He also spoke about how Valentine's Day is an important holiday for women, and that men should do something out of the ordinary for their wives or girlfriends, "and show them a little more specialness than they usually do." Men and women have different needs biologically, and different methods of lowering stress, he explained. For example, women produce the stress-relieving hormone oxytocin when they are able to talk about their problems, while men try to solve rather than talk about problems, and this helps them produce testosterone, which reduces stress for them.

While these days, relationships tend to last for shorter periods before a breakup, men and women are connecting more than ever before, but don't necessarily have role models for these interactions, he noted. Gray cited a kind of warning sign cycle that a relationship is growing worse-- beginning with resistance, moving to resentment, and ending with rejection. Regarding what he called the "Boy Crisis," he said that many young men have a "failure to launch," and that twice as many girls as boys graduate high school, and boys are much likelier than girls to have ADD/ADHD. Further, boys are 8 times more likely to commit suicide than girls, and 60 out of 61 mass murderers in the US have been boys or men. In many of these cases, the boys came from homes without a father, and were on prescription medications-- factors, he believes, that played into their problems.

Gray suggested alternatives to pharmaceuticals for conditions such as ADD, by naturally raising the level of dopamine with supplements such as Lithium Orotate and L-Tyrosine. For sinus infections, inflammatory problems, and other conditions, he spoke about a supplement called serrapeptase that reduces mucous in the body, and is commonly used in Europe and Japan. For products that regulate blood sugar and can help people lose weight, he recommended the popular green coffee extract, as well as brown seaweed supplement.

The Number 13 & Symbology:

First hour guest, author & clairvoyant Betsey Lewis talked about some of the esoteric symbology related to the number 13, and how various unusual events such as the Fatima apparitions of 1917, and the Phoenix Lights of 1997 fell on the 13th day of the month. The number 13 is important to the Illuminati and secret societies, and refers to the 13 wealthiest bloodlines in the world, she noted. Lewis also foresees "mega events" happening in 2013, with possibly a damaging solar flare hitting the planet.

BIGFOOT DNA

In the first half of Sunday's show, Dr. Melba S. Ketchum joined George Knapp to discuss the official release of her DNA analysis of possible Bigfoot hair samples. Her publication titled "Novel North American Hominin" is available for paid download through the DeNovo Journal. Ketchum's findings were based on the analysis of 111 samples of blood, tissue, hair, and related materials sent in to her lab by Sasquatch researchers and eyewitnesses. Mitochondrial DNA testing revealed that the hair was human in origin, yet a forensic hair specialist examined the specimens and declared them to be novel-- "it was not human hair and didn't match any of his animal knowns it was tested against," he told her.

When it came to testing the nuclear DNA of the samples "we started getting really strange results," she said, "with weird looking bands that were all different sizes." One testing facility reported that the sequences didn't match anything in the GenBank database. Ketchum has concluded that the creatures are either derived from humans and mutated excessively, or some type of hybrid. Further, she believes them to be a fairly modern species, paralleling humans in the last 13,000 years. She also suggested that there were some 16 different subtypes of Bigfoot, typically associated with different regions. For more, check out the recap of her 12/23/12 show appearance.

Phoenix Lights:

In the latter half, primary investigator of the Phoenix Lights phenomenon, Dr. Lynne Kitei, recounted the dramatic events that took place on March 13, 1997, as well as evidence that similar sightings took place before the incident. In the March 13th incident, there were many types of anomalous aerial objects seen over Arizona (chronicled on this page), but it's uncertain if what was witnessed was a parade of craft or the same craft seen from different perspectives, she explained. Additionally, that night, commercial airline pilots reported seeing a huge unexplained craft over Las Vegas, and "at 3AM, as the sightings were continuing...there was a call from an alleged crewman from Luke AFB to the National UFO Reporting Center, reporting in great detail...that one of these massive objects was hovering right over the center or Phoenix," she said.

Kitei herself saw unexplained oval-shaped "orbs" in the sky two months before the Phoenix Lights, on January 23, 1997. She spoke with air traffic controllers at Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, who told her they saw the same thing at the same time. They said the phenomena appeared at about 1,000 ft. altitude over Class D restricted airspace, which would necessitate a pilot communicating with them, but no one did. The orbs did not show up in radar, but in viewing them with high-powered binoculars, they described six equidistant points of light, with a massive span over a mile wide that seemed to be attached to something. They were also two events on March 12th 1997 over the Navajo Nation involving a delta-shaped object, and huge orbs that changed colors, as well as a mass sighting (similar to the Phoenix Lights) in St. Petersburg, Russia in February 1997, she detailed.

mystery booms & ufo in films

On Thursday night, investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe returned to discuss unexplained lights and loud booms that have puzzled residents and authorities all over the US, 'scientific delusions' & morphogenic fields, and how the CIA and intelligence agencies may influence Hollywood films about UFOs and aliens such as Hangar 18. Since October, strange booms and flashes of light have been witnessed in Warwick and Providence, Rhode Island and Somerset, Massachusetts. By January 9, 2013, a dozen regions across the United States had reported the same phenomenon including booms on January 7-8th in Warrick and Vanderburgh Counties, Indiana. Then on January 8-9th there were repeating booms and extremely bright flashes of light on a clear night in Cedar Hill, Utah, near Provo. One week before, two Cedar Hill residents saw an eerie, silent triangle pattern of pumpkin-orange lights in the night sky near their home. Linda interviewed Cedar Hill witness James Brown and his wife Amy, who described the craft they saw on two occasions, and the loud unexplained rumblings and booms, which sounded as if they were in a war zone at times.

In her second report, Linda spoke with U.K. biologist and biochemist Rupert Sheldrake, who's concluded that the notion of 'dark matter' is a kind of scientific delusion that's used to try and explain the way that galaxies hang together. Sheldrake is known for his theory of morphic resonance in which the shapes of organisms through time and space evolve under the influence of previous similar organisms in morphic resonance with each other, and he believes this way of thinking could explain the formation of galaxies. He also thinks morphogenic fields and morphic resonance explain telepathic communication between animals and closely bonded humans. Sheldrake is currently overseeing telepathic research in which people can participate by mobile phones.

In July 1980, a Hollywood production company called Sunn Classic Pictures released a movie entitled Hangar 18. The plot involves a UFO cover-up by the US government after an unidentified object attacks a NASA orbiting shuttle as astronauts try to launch a satellite. An alien spacecraft is discovered in Arizona, and other evidence convinces investigators that the ETs that closely resemble modern humankind genetically created Homo sapiens and are planning to return to Earth. That threatens the US government, which conspires to destroy all such evidence under a strict policy of denial. Now in 2013, the American intelligence and counterintelligence link behind the corporate creation of Sunn Classic Pictures and Hangar 18 is being explored by Robbie Graham, producer of the UK's SilverScreenSaucers.com. In a two-part conversation with Linda, he outlined the paper trail of Patrick J. Frawley, Jr., who was not only the head of Sunn, but also created the powerful American Security Council, and had ties with CIA notables.

Cyber Crime:

First hour guest, journalist Misha Glenny ( book link) reported on the increase in cyber crime and warfare. For the past 10 years, he noted, the most common type of cyber crime has been credit and debit card fraud, but now criminals/hackers are going after higher targets such as businesses, and corporations (the NY Times was recently infiltrated). Cyber crime has also become more organized with groups operating out of multiple countries, so they are harder to track and go after. There was recently a series of coordinated attacks on US banks that seemed to come from Iran. This may have been a retaliation to a US/Israeli cyber attack on Iran, he said, adding that you sometimes don't know if you're dealing with crime, espionage, or some new form of warfare.

CRYPTOTRIP

In the first half of Friday's program, George Noory welcomed filmmaker Christopher Maloney for a discussion on his research into cryptids and recent documentary, Cryptotrip. The film examines how sightings of unknown creatures affect the lives of those who witness them, Maloney explained. "It changes their concept of reality," he added. Maloney described his interview with Dover Demon witness William Bartlett, who expressed frustration for being known almost exclusively for an 8-second encounter he had with a strange being with glowing eyes. He shared a case from Papua New Guinea of a flying dinosaur-like creature about the size of a small airplane, as well as speculated on why there is little physical evidence for cryptids. People rarely come across bear remains in the wild and it is quite possible that members of the Bigfoot species actually bury their dead, he noted.

Two witnesses featured in his film joined the conversation to share their own creature sightings. Robin Swope recalled an unforgettable moment in July 2001, when he watched a giant bird emerge from swamp land next to the graveyard where he worked in Erie, Pennsylvania. Swope said the creature had black feathers, a 17-ft wingspan, and appeared to be prehistoric-looking. He compared it to an extinct condor. Next, Todd Neiss recounted his incredible Bigfoot sighting from 1993, when he was working in Oregon as a combat engineer for the National Guard conducting explosives training. According to Neiss, as he was exiting the blast zone in a Humvee he saw "three very large jet black figures" standing upright off in the distance. They were covered in hair, wore no clothes, had arms that went passed their knees, and at least one stood 9-ft tall, he revealed. Neiss claimed that other soldiers corroborated his sighting.
