ANIMAL COMMUNICATION;

On Monday's show, Prof. Rosalyn Berne discussed the frontiers in various sciences such as synthetic biology, and nanotechnology, as well as her first hand experiences with animal communication. She detailed how she incorporates science-fiction ideas (such as from films like The Matrix) into the engineering classes she teaches as a way to make material more relatable to her students. "We've been asking what are we doing with our technology, who are we becoming," as we explore the complexities of what it means to be alive, and to be human, as technology changes us and our world, she explained.

Synthetic biology, which involves the engineering of fundamental components of biology to create something that doesn't exist in nature (like Craig Venter's creation of a synthetic life form) , has stirred up some controversy-- a group of environmentalists have called for more oversight, she noted. Berne also outlined developments in nanotechnology-- she is particularly excited about the possibility of its usage to treat diseases such as cancer, where nanotech might target just cancer cells without damaging other parts of the body. She did express concern about products already in the marketplace that contain nano-materials (such as some sunscreens), as we don't yet know the long term health and environmental risks.

With all the focus on technology, we sometimes lose our deep connection to the earth, and other living beings, said Berne, who shared how she began to receive communications from a horse by happenstance during a trail ride. While humans convert meaning into language in their brains, animals convert it into images and senses about what they're feeling. She discovered, particularly with horses, that she can "capture the meaning" that comes from them in a pre-linguistic place. Horses have larger hearts compared to humans, and they communicate from the heart which flows into their brain-- this could be a lesson to humans, who tend to be too cerebral, she commented.

Mars Update:

First hour guest, aerospace engineer Dr. Robert Zubrin reacted to the lack of methane findings on Mars by the Curiosity rover. This doesn't completely rule out the possibility for life on the Red Planet, he said, noting there may be "missing links"-- life simpler than bacteria existing in the groundwater, which could be drilled into on a manned mission. Interest in Mars missions may come from private enterprise, and foreign countries if NASA lags behind, he indicated. Zubrin also gave an update on the Mars Arctic 365 project, a simulated Mars mission that will take place in the Arctic for one year

ALTERNATIVE MEDIA SPECIAL;

 Filling in for George, John B. Wells hosted a discussion on alternative media with a panel of guests appearing throughout the night. In the first hour, journalist Abby Martin detailed the trouble she got in for asking Senator Rand Paul about his endorsement of Mitt Romney. After the confrontation with Paul the Capitol police called her employer and threatened to have her arrested for stalking and harassment, Martin revealed. She said the experience taught her how things really work in D.C., noting how the political establishment and corporate media apparatus have created an environment there in which only vetted pre-approved appearances are allowed. "[The media] might as well be state run," she chided. Martin also discussed her show on RT, Breaking the Set, describing it as an aggressive political program filled with bias and aimed at undermining the establishment, criticizing the corporatocracy and challenging the U.S. empire.

During the second hour, Shepard Ambellas of Intellihub.com accused the U.S. government of acting on behalf of large corporate interests that are ultimately controlled by a handful of wealthy individuals bent on ushering in a one world government. They are not interested in solving problems nor do they have the best interest of American citizens in mind, he warned. Comparing them to the mafia, Ambellas disclosed the plan of the elite to force smaller nations to submit to organizations like the United Nations. They desire to turn freethinking individuals into mindless worker drones living in cubicles, he continued, noting how chemicals are being used to dumb down the populace. Congress is paid off, nothing is getting better, life is becoming more complex and the tax burden on average citizens is growing heavy, Ambellas lamented. He encouraged listeners to stand up and take action, adding that "the average person could step into the presidency... and turn the whole country around within their first term."

In the final half, John welcomed Buzzsaw host Tyrel Ventura, along with fellow hosts Sean Stone and Tabitha Wallace, who joined the conversation in the third and fourth hours, respectively. Ventura talked about a lost episode of Conspiracy Theory on the future of the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) and some frightening taser wristbands they are ready to deploy. He also commented on why people are moving to alternative news sources to learn the truth about what's really going on and how the "U.S. is the biggest rogue state in the world ." Stone spoke about his fascination with esoteric topics such as time travel, skinwalkers and aliens, as well has his own paranormal encounter. He hinted that Hollywood might be filled with celebrities and pop stars under MK Ultra mind control. Wallace exposed an agenda within the mainstream media, pointing out that the entir e Osama bin Laden narrative is fiction made up to fuel a story line. "I really think that, historically, you can see that what we've been told actually happened... has systematically been proven to be totally untrue," she said.

UFO & ANIMAL MUTILATIONS;

On Thursday's show, investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe discussed the recent release of previously classified NSA documents in response to an ACLU Freedom of Information Act request concerning surveillance, unusual solar patterns, an "impossible" UFO radar track, and mysterious cases of animal mutilations. The released NSA documents revealed that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) made rulings which were highly critical of the NSA, and the judges said that not only had the NSA violated its own rules and the law, but had repeatedly misled the FISA court judges. Linda spoke with Gregory Nojeim, Senior Counsel and Director, Project on Freedom, Security and Technology for the Center for Democracy and Technology in Washington, D.C. who believes that these kind of disclosures may add impetus for legislative changes both in how the FISA Court works , as well as setting limits on the NSA's surveillance of US citizens.

In her second report, she noted how the sun has been nearly free of sunspots when it should be at the height of its solar maximum intensity. In her interview with NASA solar physicist David Hathaway, he remarked that we're experiencing the weakest solar maximum in at least 100 years and that current data suggests that a spotless period could follow, similar to the Maunder Minimum of the 1700s. Though this might slow the warming of the Earth, it's unlikely to create a "little ice age," he said.

Retired Teton County, Montana Sheriff John "Pete" Howard spoke with Linda in her third and fourth segments. Teton is not far from Great Falls where the U.S. had a large underground network of Minuteman missiles. Howard said he saw a hovering UFO that produced a radar record that astounded the U.S. Air Force Colonel he was working with, followed by a dramatic encounter with government agents, who absconded with the radar scroll. Howard also talked about witnessing mutilated animals that veterinarians confirmed had missing internal organs without any excisions to the animal's body, implying the use of an unknown technology. There were also unusual cases where it became clear the dead, mutilated bodies had to have been placed by something able to lift and lower the heavy bodies

BEHIND THE UFO PHENOMENON;

On Thursday's show, documentary filmmaker James Fox and screenwriter and film producer Tracy Torme talked about their forthcoming feature film 701, a documentary which explores the origins of the UFO phenomenon, and the government suppression of evidence. 701 refers to the number of cases that remained unexplained as part of Project Blue Book, the study of UFOs conducted by US Air Force from 1948 – 1969. For their new film, Fox said he interviewed Col. William Coleman, the spokesman for Project Blue Book, who as a pilot in 1955 had an encounter/chase with a flying saucer over Alabama. Along with Coleman, the passengers in his plane, who were engineers from Lockheed Martin, were all perplexed by the movements of the metallic craft, which had no signs of any propulsion.

Fox collected materials at the National Archives regarding the 1964 Socorro, NM UFO case in which police officer Lonnie Zamora saw something fly overhead, and then approached a shiny egg-shaped object that had landed nearby off a dirt road. He saw two occupants, who initially he thought were children. One of the occupants was startled to see him approaching, and the craft took off before he got much closer, Fox recounted. Discussing the pros and cons of various hypothesis for UFOs, Torme gave credence to the interplanetary explanation, noting that the galaxy is probably teeming with life, while Fox considered the dimensional theory a possibility, considering how UFOs seem to wink out or disappear.

Fox, who announced a $100,000 reward for proof of an ET craft, also entertained the idea that UFOs could be associated with time travelers, returning to our time period as a kind of history lesson. Torme, who was acquainted with the late Gene Roddenberry (the creator of Star Trek), shared the surprising revelation that Roddenberry actually thought UFO reports were bunk, as did astronomer Carl Sagan and sci-fi legend Ray Bradbury. Another case that impressed Fox and will be featured in 701 was the 1994 Zimbabwe incident, in which numerous school children saw a craft landing, and aliens who sent telepathic messages to them

MONEY & CURRENCY;

In the first half of Tuesday's show, contributing editor at Wired, David Wolman, discussed the history of cash money, the liabilities of it and why people are so attached to physical, paper currency. As an experiment, he tried living without cash for a year to see what problems and realizations would occur. Using cards and other forms for payment, "many weeks would go by actually when I wouldn't notice that I was cashless, then all of a sudden I'd run into a pickle," such as when he tried to convince the babysitter's father to open a Paypal account on the fly. So many people are frightened by the idea of a cashless or digital money future, yet "the reality is, like it or not, we are already in the soup with electronic money. In other words, most money today is already zeros and ones on distant servers," he said.

Rather than ponder whether we'll become a cashless society, the more interesting question is what is money in the first place, and what gives it its value, Wolman remarked. Money is held up by the faith and trust we have in the issuing institution. Yet, many people are hungry for a change, and seeking alternative forms of currency that can get them away from monetary ties to the government. The digital 'Bitcoin,' independent of a central authority has emerged, and local currencies have been tried out in such places as Berkshire, MA and Ithaca, NY. People don't necessarily want to buy "a coffee table from CrateandBarrel.com, made in India, using their VISA card. They want to buy a coffee table from a local furniture maker down the street. So why not use a local currency to do that?" he asked.

The Afterlife:

In the latter half, medium James Van Praagh spoke about the afterlife, as well as his forthcoming book on the grieving process that he co-authored with Doreen Virtue. Everyone grieves differently, just as their relationship to the deceased person was unique, he pointed out. It's important that people realize that dying is a part of life, a process in which everything is changing, he said, even though the soul never dies and continues on very much alive. The grieving can become aware that they're still connected to a deceased loved one on the soul level, "and if they open up their minds and listen to the little subtle whispers, they might hear their loved one or feel them close to them," he shared. Interestingly, Praagh said the deceased are sometimes in a position to help their living loved ones more from the Other Side than they were in life.

Several months back, he assisted his colleague Debbie Ford with a meditation process to help her come to terms with her passing. After her death, she communicated to him that she felt "part of the oneness of the wholeness." On the Other Side, we become part of everything, and we're all connected, he noted

SPECIAL REPORTS

Doctor and Colonel Jesse Marcel Jr.’s Life on Earth Has Ended

It is with a sad heart that I have to break this bad news to the world. At the age of 76 my Dad, Dr. Jesse Marcel Jr.’s life on earth has ended on August 25, 2013. He was alone and apparently had a heart attack. Although it is a very sad time for our entire family I am happy to know that he lived an eventful life. I am so proud to be his daughter. He had taught me so many things in life and one of the more important things I learned from my Dad was to never back down in the face of adversity. Thanks to Michael Reiche writes, “Jesse was a giant to many of us, a modest man whose father, Major Jesse Marcel, Sr., was the Roswell Army Air Field base Intelligence officer, the first to reach and examine the Roswell crash debris field. Jesse never once backed down in his all-too-credible account of his father's showing him debris from the crash, and always honored and defended his father's honor, credibility and memory.” Thanks to Peter Robbins

Editor’s Note: My wife and I had lunch with Jesse at the Citizens Hearing on Disclosure in Washington DC at the National Press Club on May 2, 2013. He told me he was very proud of his father who was an exceptionally honorable man and had brought home extraterrestrial debris from a crashed UFO in July of 1947, for his Mother and him to see. He had held the metal pieces in his hand and they all knew the material was not from Earth based on the hieroglyphics, light weight, and strength of the metal.
 He told me about his serving in 18 months Iraq as an Army Colonel as a medical doctor flight surgeon, and his frequent flights in the 189th Attack Helicopter Battalion flying 225 hours of combat. He seemed full of life and proud of his accomplishments and was positive the government had chosen to keep alien visitation a secret.
Jesse Marcel Jr. is a retired, full-bird Colonel, who spent 38 years serving his country with honor and loyalty but assured me he personally held part of an alien UFO. Marcel attended the Louisiana State University School of Medicine at New Orleans, graduating in July of 1961, earning a degree in medicine. He became a specialist in ear, nose and throat medicine. During his career in the National Guard, he was appointed State Surgeon of the State of Montana and retired from the military a second time in August of 1996 on his 60th birthday. The Iraqi war required him to be called back to active duty in October of 2004 shortly after his 68th birthday for an 18 month tour in Iraq.
He is survived by his wife Linda, his children Jesse Jr., Michael, John, Marissa, Mackenzie, Aimee, Ashley and Mark and all of his grandchildren. Although Jessie and his father are no longer with us,
the Roswell Legacy will live on FOREVER and I will always miss him!

SUPERNATURAL;

On Sunday night's program, George Norrie spoke with author, investigative reporter, and host of the popular TV show "It’s Supernatural," Sid Roth, who detailed his personal journey of faith and shared stories of miracles. He recalled taking a meditation course, which would allegedly give practitioners the power to foresee the future, and developed the ability to manipulate his own reality. Roth then began having out of body experiences that he could not control, which terrified him. "I knew there was some evil inside of me," he reflected, "death looked better than life for me." Finally, he prayed to Jesus one night before he went to bed and, when he woke up, Roth felt a tangible presence in his bedroom which he described as "the purest love I've ever experienced in my life." From that moment on, the evil spirits inside of him were gone.

"I hear from God now," he declared, "and when I speak what I hear, miracles happen." Roth explained that after he began traveling and sharing his story with people, he realized that he had the ability to heal members of the audience. He used the example of hearing the work "neck," in the midst of a lecture, so he would request people with neck problems to come to the stage. "I would then touch them, in the name of Jesus, and in every one of them, the pain would go," he claimed. Soon, Roth found that he could just heal the audience members in their seat, which led to him traveling around the country helping those in need. He was careful not to credit himself for this miraculous ability and stressed that he is merely a conduit for God's power.

Over the course of the evening, Roth told a number of stories about people being miraculously healed. One such tale was of a man named Dr. Gary Wood, who was in a terrible car crash and declared dead on arrival at the hospital. After being turned back from Heaven by his friend, who had recently died, Roth said, Wood sat up in his hospital bed and started talking. His nurse was stunned by this development, because he had suffered a crushed larynx in the accident and, therefore, should not have been able to speak. Despite subsequent x-rays which showed the vocal chords were still destroyed, Wood continued to talk with ease. "The man cannot, based on science, speak," Roth marveled, "but he speaks!"

Crop Circles:

In the first hour, crop circle researcher Patty Greer talked about her experiences investigating the mysterious crop circle phenomenon. Having visited over 100 crop circles, she contended that the formations have enhanced energy within the crop circle as well as 10 to 20 feet around the area. "Every hair on your body stands up and you get chills from head to toe," Greer said about this energy emanating from the formations. Based on her research into crop circles, she surmised that the formations are messages from ETs and that is why these dispatches are in picture or coded form, because that format eschews language and is more easily understood by all cultures. Greer also lamented that the media does not cover the pervasive nature of crop circles and noted that, in 2012, there were 69 formations in the UK as well as 57 reported cases throughout over 20 countries.

MARTIAN HEAD ANALYSIS;

 During the middle two hours of Friday's program, Andrew D. Basiago, president of the Mars Anomaly Research Society, discussed his teleportation to Mars and breaking news about the discovery of a Martian head. Basiago described his experiences as one of 140 school children selected for DARPA's Project Pegasus, a secret American teleportation and time travel program. The U.S. intelligence community was going forward in time to retrieve and bring back scientifically and culturally significant artifacts, he said. An analysis of humanoid and animal forms in NASA photograph PIA 10214 that he published in 2008 was one of the items brought back to his present, Basiago recalled, noting that he read the paper aloud to his father in 1971. "Now they're slightly blurry, but I deny anyone to claim that the images [in PIA 10214] are not of the basic human form," he added.

Basiago disclosed how his participation in Project Pegasus led him into the CIA's Mars teleportation program. From 1980 to 1984 he said he would regularly visit a building in El Segundo, California, that was owned and operated by Hughes Aircraft. According to Basiago, an elevator in that building would morph from a box into a cylinder and then passengers could step out onto the surface of Mars. He claimed to have interacted with Martians and been taken to their underground civilization where he was taught about the various Martian typologies. Basiago identified the figure in the Martian head photo as Homo maris maris, a humanoid species indigenous to the planet with an elongated head, a bulbous crown, pointy ears and a spindly body. He credited photo analyst Patricio Barrancos of Argentina with finding the head and suggested it is corroborative data of the CIA's Mars jump room program and his claim that Mars is inhabited.

MARS ONE;

 In the first half of the program, Ken Johnston, a former NASA Data and Photo Control Department manager, discussed the Mars One project and the process of colonizing space. He explained that Mars One is a non-profit organization aimed at building a human colony on the Red Planet and is currently in the midst of selecting the astronauts who will participate in the project. Johnston, who has applied to be one of these astronauts, acknowledged that the journey is a one-way trip to Mars, with a return to Earth being highly unlikely, but relished the historic nature of such an endeavor. "Everything we will do, from the moment we're launched," he marveled, "will be a first for the human species."

According to Johnston, the building of this colony on Mars will begin with training the astronauts in 2015, followed by a series of unmanned missions to the planet which would scout an ideal location and send the necessary cargo ahead of the humans. The first crew, consisting of two men and two women, would fly to Mars in 2022. Every two years, thereafter, another set of four astronauts will depart Earth and join the original Martian pioneers. Once they are on Mars, each astronaut will have their own 10 by 20 foot pod to live in and will perform research and development tasks on the planet while also building additional habitats for future fellow Martians, initially twenty-four in total. "As it grows, we'll have our own little colony going and we'll have to make up our own rules and laws," he said, "and we'll all be Martians."
EarthKeepers:
In the latter half, former real estate developer, Adam C. Hall
, In the latter half, former real estate developer, Adam C. Hall, detailed how he found purpose, freedom and power in business, family, and community by reaching out to greater good, and preserving the Earth rather than conquering it. He recalled how, after a successful twenty year career and a prosperous family life, he felt like something was missing in his life. "So I decided to really re-pivot and decide how to best serve myself and the planet," he said. This led him on a journey around the globe on what he described as "an adventure of spirit." Hall returned to America and formed the EarthKeeper Alliance, which utilizes his real estate acumen to purchase land and focus on conserving it while also allowing for limited development in order to generate sustainable profit.

"It's quite arrogant to think that human beings can save the planet," Hall opined, "it's the other way around. The planet can save human beings." To that end, he lamented the growing disconnection between people and the environment, declaring that the population suffers from "nature deficit disorder." Therefore, he encouraged people to focus on their own personal relationship with the environment which, in turn, could lead to greater changes in society towards developing more sustainability. Ultimately, he stressed that finding a balance with nature would be the salvation of the human race. "Our planet's going to be perfectly fine to do as she may," he said, "the best thing we can do is get on board and get on the program."

SECRET BASES;

On Sunday night's program, George Knapp was joined by UFO and Roswell investigators, Don Schmitt and Thomas Carey, who discussed their research into Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and how it played a critical role in the aftermath of the Roswell crash. "Whatever was recovered at Roswell," Schmitt said, "it's initial destination was, indeed, Wright field." As such, the duo explained that their investigation into the base stemmed from the fact that previous studies into the Roswell case often simply end with the debris being sent to Wright-Patterson and, thus, "we thought we'd continue the story." They detailed how Wright-Patterson received the debris because it housed the Air Force's foreign technology division and, thus, had the staff and facilities to study "something that was really foreign." Carey also noted the base's high degree of secrecy as well as an advanced medical facility, which would allow for the handling of any ET crash victims.

On what became of the debris once it arrived at Wright-Patterson, Schmitt recounted the testimony of General Arthur Exon, who served as part of the early Foreign Technology Division at the base in 1947 and was ordered to prepare the lab because "the materials from Roswell were coming in for testing." According to Schmitt, Exon claimed that the consensus from the "top engineers in the military at that time" were that "the materials had to be from space." Additionally, Carey shared the tantalizing story of actor Gordon MacRae, who contended that he was at Wright-Patterson following the Roswell crash and was tasked with guarding the palettes which contained the alien bodies upon their arrival. Despite being ordered not to look under the protective tarp, MacRae allegedly peeked at the cargo and saw small entities with large heads.

The duo also reflected on the recent passing of Jesse Marcel Jr., a critical witness to the aftermath of the Roswell crash, having handled the wreckage of the downed craft. Schmitt credited Marcel with being "the one person who championed all of such witnesses who had the good fortune of handling something that could very well have been manufactured off this planet." Regarding the critics of Marcel's story, Carey suggested that "they never met" the man, because he was the type of person who "could never tell a lie." Ultimately, he mused that Marcel's death is a "stark reminder" that "we're reaching the end of the line as far as firsthand witnesses to various aspects of the story."

ELECTRONIC HARSSMENT;

 In the first half of the program, Dr. John Hall discussed his work with thousands of victims of electronic harassment, stalking, and mind control. Based on his research, Hall noted various kinds of electronic harassment, including being stalked by mysterious forces and, chillingly, "attempts at controlling the mind." Additionally, he said, victims report "hearing the voices of perpetrators in your head that you only can hear, while you are being attacked with directed energy weapons." He theorized that this ongoing electronic harassment is part of an overarching experiment to ultimately find the technology which would allow for control over the entire global population.

While political dissidents are potential victims of electronic harassment, Hall suggested that middle to lower middle class people as well as prisoners and the homeless could also be seen as ideal candidates for testing the technology. He explained that this would allow for those who are controlling the experiment to get a greater data set and see which tactics work best. However, Hall also put forward a troubling potential alternative scenario which was imparted to him by an insider working with this technology. According to that source, Hall said, the victims of electronic harassment are actually the outliers who are not susceptible to the control system. "That's a very scary thought," he observed, "because that tells me that the majority of people are already being controlled."

UFO Oddities:

In the latter half of the show, UFO researcher, lecturer and broadcaster, Philip Mantle provided an update on his work researching fringe facets of the UFO phenomenon, including Unidentified Submerged Objects (USOs), alien abductions, and close encounter cases. "It's a fascinating area of study but one that's largely been ignored down the years," Mantle said about the USO phenomenon. He cited one case in 1965 where a Russian submarine surfaced in the Atlantic and spotted a cigar-shaped object in the sky. Before the crew could react to the UFO, it emitted three beams of light, then landed on the water and submerged. Other cases, Mantle said, feature strange objects being seen under the water and then suddenly shooting up into the sky. "It's mind-boggling," he marveled, since USOs cannot be dismissed as easily as UFOs, which are often blamed on prosaic explanations like celestial misidentification.

Regarding close encounters, Mantle detailed a case where an English woman and her children witnessed a gray, sombrero-shaped UFO land in the field near their home. Approaching the craft, they saw "three tall men" near the ship. These beings were dressed in white, sporting visors over their eyes and, strangely, mittens covered their hands. As the mother was dissuading her kids from getting any closer, the entities circled to the rear of the craft, which then rose into the sky and flew away. "This was either the real thing or they're lying," Mantle declared, "there's no in-betweens, there's no gray areas here. This wasn't the planet Venus or marsh gas or anything else."
